Juham launches campaign "Violence Police Complaints 9 / 7"



KUALA LUMPUR: The Department of Law and Human Rights (Juham) established Pas Youth Assembly launched a massive campaign "Violence Police Complaints 9 / 7"

Juham Director, Khuzaimi Asa'ad Ahmad Zamri said the campaign was launched to find out the violence and police misconduct during a peaceful rally
BERSIH, 9 July.

"Large-scale campaign is a follow-up of official complaints Juham parties submit to the Human Rights Commission of Malaysia (Suhakam) on 12 July," said Ahmad Zamri said in a statement today.

He said the campaign also lists a number of violent police actions, includingpunching, kicking, trampling and fired tear gas to people from close range.

"The Juham has received numerous reports from the participants of the assembly has been treated with violence, including those received serious injuries and was hospitalized," he said.

Strictly speaking, the people must be aware of their rights so that authorities can not simply beating people who want to implement
guaranteed their rights of Article 10 of the Federal Constitution.

"BERSIH Claim 2.0 is a pure demand for most of the people and the government should not treat them the way it did.

"This incident is a tragedy for the black history of human rights in this country," he said.

Ahmad Zamri said the complaint in the form of information, evidence photo, photos,video, medical reports, etc. can be channeled through the Hotline Juham
or through his official email, juhampusat@gmail.com.

They can also channel their complaints through the social networking site Facebook'Legal and Human Rights' established Juham.
